Biographer Ray E. Boomhower joins fellow Hoosier authors at the Independent Bookstore Day celebration at the Indiana Historical Society’s Basile History Market in Indianapolis.
Author Nick Pappas will present his book, Crosses of Iron: The Tragic Story of Dawson, New Mexico, and Its Twin Mining Disasters, at the Tucumcari Railroad Museum. He will be joined by Frank Turner, founder and president of the museum, who was interviewed by Pappas for this book. Pappas will be signing copies of Crosses of Iron after the presentation.

Acts of Faith: Religion and the American West is a traveling exhibition curated by the New-York Historical Society and developed in partnership with the Eiteljorg Museum. Eiteljorg’s former director of religion and culture initiatives, Jessica Nelson, Ph.D. wrote the companion book, Religion and the American West: Violence, Belief, and Resilience from 1800 to Today.
